Most CNC programming software in the $3,800 to $5,000 price range requires you to master CAD programming before you can even drill a simple hole. G-ZERO approaches the problem the way a machinist would: pick a tool, pick a cycle, pick a hole...then press 2 more buttons, and you're looking at perfect G-code for any machine in your shop.
Of course, drilling one simple hole is just the beginning. To pick a thousand holes off a DXF file requires just a few more mouse clicks. If you don't have a CAD file, G-ZERO gives you dozens of other commands like BOLT CIRCLE and GRID and even specialized helpers like a heat exchanger wizard to help you input arrays of holes all at once. There is also a wizard for setting up large fixtures (tombstones, like the one at left) on horizontal machining centers.
The conversational nature of this software makes even your newest operators productive after just a few hours of practice.
G-ZERO relies on a library of the most detailed post processors in the industry to quickly and easily produce G-code for CNC mills and lathes. Unlike most CAD-based programming systems, G-ZERO maintains a source language (process model) so that training, editing and especially maintenance are greatly simplified. Machinists find G-ZERO to be a much easier tool to learn. And because post processors are easily fine tuned, G-code editing is virtually eliminated.
